Sprayed on, it gives your lawn an instant green-up and then keeps feeding for weeks — the little-and-often way greenkeepers feed fine turf. Feed every 6–8 weeks through the season, or use it between your granular seasonal feeds to keep the colour topped up. Don't apply to frozen, waterlogged or drought-stressed grass, or in strong sunshine.\u003c\/p\u003e\n  \u003ch2\u003eWhat does a slow release liquid lawn feed do?\u003c\/h2\u003e\n  \u003cp\u003eMost liquid feeds are all straight nitrogen: the lawn greens up in days and fades just as fast, so you're back out with the sprayer every fortnight. Slow Release Liquid Feed does two jobs in one bottle. Forty per cent of its nitrogen is urea, taken up straight through the leaf for a quick green-up. The other sixty per cent is methylene urea, a slow-release form that breaks down gradually, so the grass gets a steady trickle of feed over the following weeks rather than a surge. The result is even colour and growth without the flush of soft, sappy grass a straight urea feed brings — and less risk of scorch. Measure out 2.5 ml for every square metre you're feeding (up to 7.5 ml for a pale, hungry lawn) and dilute it in 30–60 ml of water per m² — so a full 100 ml bottle goes into 1.2–2.4 litres of water to feed 40 m². Apply evenly with a knapsack or pressure sprayer, or a watering can with a fine rose, on a still day when the grass is dry and growing. There's no need to water it in: it's taken up through the leaf and the top of the soil. Wear gloves and eye protection when mixing, and keep children and pets off the lawn until it's dry.
