Measuring your lawn: FAQs
How accurate is the lawn measuring tool?
It uses Google’s satellite imagery and geometry, so it’s a close estimate for most gardens. For oddly shaped lawns, trace carefully around the edges, or measure separate sections and add them together. It’s designed to get you the right plan size, not a survey-grade figure.
Can I measure an awkward or L-shaped lawn?
Yes — just follow the real outline by tapping each corner. You can drag any point afterwards to fine-tune, and the area updates as you go.
Do I need to enter my postcode?
It’s the quickest way to jump the map to your home, but you can also tap “Use my location”, or pan and zoom the map yourself.
What do I do with my lawn size?
Tap “Get my plan price” and we’ll carry your measured area straight into the plan selector, so you get a fixed price for the right amount of fertiliser for the year.
