2026 Lawn Plan Refresh

Important Updates to Mowd Lawn Care Plans 🌱

Over the past year, we’ve had hundreds of conversations with customers about how you use Mowd, what works well, and where things could be simpler.

This winter, we took the time to reflect β€” and we’re making some important changes designed to make our plans simpler, more flexible, and more environmentally responsible, while still giving your lawn everything it needs to thrive.

Here’s the whole spiel on what’s changing, why we’re doing it, and what it means for you.

🌱 What’s Changing?

1. The Basic Lawn Care Plan is being retired

We’re simplifying our product range to make choosing the right plan easier and more effective.Β  Any customers on basic will be moved to the new 'Seasons' plan.

2. Introducing the NEW β€œSeasons” Plan (replacing Level-Up)

The Seasons plan is designed to keep your lawn healthy and improving all year round β€” without unnecessary complexity.

  • 4 treatments per year
  • Delivered and billed every 3 months
  • Built around a simple feeding and overseeding rhythm
  • No herbicides included (more on why below)

3. Introducing the NEW β€œSeasons Plus” Plan (replacing Advanced)

The Seasons Plus plan who enjoy a more proactive, hands-on approach to lawn care.

  • 8 treatments per year (up from 6)
  • Delivered and billed every 3 months
  • Designed for fuller, more intensive lawn care routines
  • No herbicides included (more on why below)

4. Turf Rise Weed, Feed & Moss Killer is being removed from plans

Turf Rise will still be available as a one-off purchase, and any new customers in their first year who were due to receive it will still get it.

5. Monthly and annual payment schemes are being retired

Instead, we’re moving to a simpler, more flexible option....

6. New 3-Monthly -Β  Pay-As-You-Go - billing (Quarterly)

  • No long-term commitment
  • Cancel anytime
  • All customers will move to this model at the end of their current annual cycle
  • Your original plan price will be honoured until the end of the current annual cycle, even if new plans cost more

Β

🌍 Why Are We Making These Changes?

πŸ§ͺ Customer feedback on timing & complexity

Many customers told us that applying herbicide alongside overseeding, scarifying, or renovations caused confusion or delays. After the first weed treatment, most preferred spot treatments rather than repeated blanket applications.

🌿 Environmental responsibility

We want to reduce routine herbicide use. Going forward, herbicides will be recommended only when needed, not included by default in subscription plans.

❄️ Every plan now includes a winter treatment

This ensures a consistent three-month rhythm and supports your lawn year-round.

πŸ’¬ Support Credits β€” clearer, fairer help

Support Credits show how much personalised help you’re entitled to and how much you’ve used. Most customers use less than 20%, which tells us we can do more to encourage proactive support.

πŸ‘Much more flexibility

The new plans have zero tie in.Β  It is straight up, pay-as-you-go.Β  You can now pause, resume, cancel or change your plan whenever it suits you without the need to contact support.

πŸ›  How Will the Changes Happen?

  • When your current plan finish an annual cycle, you’ll move to the new 3-month Pay-As-You-Go billing cycle
  • Your original plan price will be honoured until the end of the current annual cycle.
  • If you’re in your first year and haven’t yet received Turf Rise, it will still be delivered
  • Turf Rise remains available as a one-off purchase
  • Terms & Conditions will be updated
  • Your deliveries continue as normal β€” no service interruption

πŸ’š A Personal Note From the Mowd Team

We know change can feel unsettling. Winter is our time to reflect, improve, and make sure the year ahead is better than the last.

Removing weed and moss killer from core plans wasn’t an easy decision. While a clean lawn matters, most customers found long-term success through feeding, overseeding, and targeted treatments when problems appear.

Moving to quarterly pay-as-you-go removes long-term tie-ins, makes Mowd easier to try, and allows us to focus on what matters most β€” better products and better support.

These changes are the direct result of your feedback. They won’t suit everyone, but we truly believe they make Mowd simpler, better value, and more responsible.

Thank you for being part of Mowd. We’re a small, family-run business, and your trust means everything to us.

Warmest regards,
The Mowd Team
