MyLawn
MyLawn
Your DIY lawn companion. Built for UK lawns.
Plain-English reminders, guidance, and a photo timeline that shows your lawn progress — built around your postcode, your weather, and the time you can actually give it.
Most lawn apps give you a feature list. We give you an opinion.
MyLawn watches your postcode's weather, the season, the grass on your lawn, and what you've already done — and tells you the single best thing to do next. No menus to dig through. No half a dozen "you could try…" suggestions. Just a clear answer in plain English, with the why if you want it.
It's built for British lawn DIYers, by Mowd Lawn Care. Customers ask our opinion and recommendations on a daily basis, so we made it into an app suitable for all skills and lawn goals.

A quick look at MyLawn in action.
What you get
A clear "what next"
Clear red/amber/green status based on what you've logged as done.
Smart reminders
Push notifications for mowing, feeding, weeding and more — paced to your time, skill level and ambition. Snooze, skip or mute any time.
Lawn health dashboard
A simple ring score showing how on-track your lawn is, with the gaps highlighted so you know exactly what to work on.
Plain-English guidance
How-to articles and short videos for every common lawn action. Written for real gardens, not textbook conditions.
Lawn photo timeline
Track your lawn's progress month by month. GPS data stripped on upload; photos stored on EU servers and only readable by you.
Multiple lawns
Front garden, back garden, that strip by the drive — handle them all separately, each with their own plan.
Tell a friend
Every MyLawn score uses the same scale — so you can compare notes with friends and neighbours over the fence or in the group chat. A bit of gentle competition does wonders for the front garden.
The app is free for everyone
MyLawn is free to use — no trial, no credit card, no premium tier to dodge. Everything above is in the free app, and that's the plan for the foreseeable future. If we ever introduce a paid membership we'll say so clearly first.
One thing to flag: free users may see the occasional seasonally-relevant advert for a lawn treatment (e.g. autumn feed when autumn arrives). Lawn Plan subscribers don't — except where a product genuinely complements a lawn goal that isn't already covered by their plan.
Already a Lawn Plan subscriber?
If you also subscribe to the Mowd Lawn Plan, the app understands your delivery schedule and treatment programme, and walks you through each treatment as it arrives at your door. As we build more advanced features — deeper season planning, problem diagnosis, supply tracking — Lawn Plan subscribers get them first.
Not a subscriber? The app still works perfectly well on its own. The Lawn Plan adds the products + timing; the app does the thinking either way.
Heads up — we're in beta. MyLawn is live and being used by gardeners around the UK, but it's early days. You'll probably hit the occasional bug, an awkward bit of copy, or a missing feature. We'd love to hear about it — drop us a note at help@mowd.uk with anything that breaks, anything that confuses you, or anything you wish the app did. We read everything.
Coming soon to Android and iOS
Today, MyLawn runs in any modern browser at mylawn.mowd.uk — and you can "Add to home screen" on your phone for an app-like experience. Native apps for the Apple App Store and Google Play are next on the roadmap.
FAQs
Is the app actually free?
Yes — every feature in the app is free to use, with no time limit and no credit card needed. We may introduce a paid membership for advanced features in future, but if we do we'll always be upfront about what changes. The current free experience isn't going anywhere.
What does a Mowd Lawn Plan add?
The Lawn Plan is our subscription product: every quarter we deliver the right lawn treatments to your door, in the quantity your lawn needs and timed to the UK season. The app picks up your schedule automatically and guides you through each treatment. Lawn Plan subscribers also get early access to more advanced app features as we build them.
Do I need to download anything?
Not yet — just open mylawn.mowd.uk in your phone or desktop browser. On mobile you can tap "Add to home screen" and it'll behave like a regular app, including offline access and push notifications. Native iOS and Android apps are coming.
What devices does it work on?
Any modern browser on iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, Mac, Windows or Linux. We design mobile-first, so it'll feel best on a phone.
How does the personalised advice actually work?
You tell us your postcode, the kind of grass on your lawn, sun exposure, soil type, how much time you can give it each week, and what you're aiming for (basic tidy lawn through to show-piece). We combine that with live weather and seasonal cues to decide what's worth doing next — and when to leave well alone.
How is my data used?
Only to run the app for you. We don't sell data and we don't share your lawn details with third parties. Photos are stored on EU servers with GPS metadata stripped on upload. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
Do I need a Mowd account to use it?
Yes — a free account is needed so we can save your lawn details, history and photos. Signing in is by email link — no password to remember.
I've found a bug or have a feature request.
Brilliant — use the Feedback link at the bottom of any page in the app. It captures the technical context we need automatically, so we have everything to investigate. Feature ideas go straight onto our roadmap.
Ready to grow a better lawn?
Open the app in your browser. No download, no credit card, no setup beyond a postcode and a couple of questions about your lawn.
