What size lawn is this hand spreader suitable for?
The hopper holds around 3kg of fertiliser, which covers roughly 60-80m². You can refill and continue at any point. We've fed a 450m² lawn in about 10-15 minutes with this spreader, including refills. Lawns over ~350m² become candidates for a bucket spreader, but those take up more storage and cost more - so it's a personal trade-off.
Is it easy to use?
Very easy, thanks to its simple design. It has an arm rest so the bulk of the weight is taken by your arm rather than your wrist, and a solid, planted base so you can use both hands when handling fertiliser bags.
Is the feed adjustable, and what setting should I use?
Yes - set the gate opening from 1-5 with a simple switch. The setting depends on how fast you want the product to flow. We recommend starting on 3; close it down to 1-2 if you walk slowly, or open it up if you walk quickly.
Can I return it?
Yes - you have 30 days to return an unused mower, plus your statutory 14-day right to cancel. Get in touch and we'll arrange it.
